The first heat of the year smells like dust on a hot panel. A spray hits the air because the smell is treated as a scent problem. The fluff is still on the metal. The next morning the same burn is back. The bottle covered a breath. It did not wipe the source.

A warm-air cupboard or a wall heater holds the same summer dust on a grill. Spray in the doorway does not reach the grill. The grill needs a vacuum or a cloth, then the heat.
Closed windows keep the toast in. Opening one after the first hour lets the cooked dust leave. Spray with the window shut is how October also smelled sweet and burnt at once.
Pet hair on the panel burns faster than grey fluff. The cloth still comes first.
An oil-filled plug-in does the same toast if it sat under a bed all summer. Wipe that case too. Turning the dial up does not burn the dust off. It cooks it faster.
